The final word

Latest Fishery Notice posted on DFO website gives some finality to the question of any more openings in the north.

Areas 1 & 2
Assessment is underway. No surpluses identified to date. If assessment
indicates a harvestable surplus in any area, a fishery may be called on short
notice.
Areas 3, 4, & 6
Closed for the balance of the season.
Area 5
Assessment for coastal pinks continues. To date, pink abundance appears to be
low, but assessment will continue as pinks in Area 5 are generally later timed
than pinks in the other areas.
