Well, so far so good. DFO is sticking to its guns on keeping the marine commercial fishery closed despite intense lobbying from industry and local politicians.
This Fishery Notice posted this morning;
Areas 3, 4, 5, 6 Assessment of streams and Skeena River escapement is continuing. No further fishing opportunities are anticipated. Next update on Thursday, Aug 21st.
