Phase Out Gillnets

The commercial sector is always asking what is it we want. Well here is one thing we want portayed in an image: phase out the use of gillnets. We suggest over the next five years completely phasing out this non-selective gear type.
This could be accomplished by; retiring unused licenses; not issuing any new licenses; by license buyout; by reducing fishing time for non-selective methods; by restricting fishing location for non-selective methods.
