Slight Pause

Weve been away for a couple of days, but will now resume posts.
The Skeena sockeye fishery is still closed and unlkely to open, but not formally announced as closed for the season.
The fishery for pink salmon has begun in both Area 3 and 4 for seiners. The Skeena rivermouth area is being kept closed presumably to reduce sockeye bycatch.
We'll also update the Tyee cumulative graph.
We'll also take a look at why sportfishing for Skeena sockeye is still open while the run is below escapement, something that is frustrating various First Nations groups along the Skeena.
