The closure of the Skeena sockeye fishery continues. The season is basically over except for the formal announcements. Here is a graphic representation of what commercial fishing time has been lost so far this season. The solid red color being the lost fishing time in the expected fishing period.
Please note, there is potential for a fishery in Skeena later in August for pink salmon. This would most likely be conducted, if allowed at all, by the seine fleet.
